What kind of home do you want? Where do you want to live? How much do you want to spend? Develop a list of your must-haves and clearly define what you are looking for.

Get Pre-Approved

Step One

If you plan to finance any part of your home purchase, i.e. not buying your home with cash, you need to figure out how much buying power you have! Take 10 minutes to chat with a lender early on and you’ll be ready to make an offer when the time comes.

Remember: Pre-approval letters are almost always required when making an offer.

The fun part! We will be sending you properties daily that fit your search criteria. Your job is to go through the contenders, pick out the winners, and contact us with the addresses. Here at First Flight Real Estate, we are 24/7 — if you’re available, we’re available. We will set the showing that day.

Make An Offer

Step Three

Once we find the home of your dreams, it’s time to make an offer. We will look closely at the recent comparable sales in the area to determine a fair market value — then the negotiating begins. This is one of the most important steps in the process and one we take very seriously. Simply put: Our goal is to get you the absolute best deal possible.


Step Four

Once the contract is accepted by both parties, you will hire a whole house inspector to fully inspect the property. Once we determine which items are defects that require attention, we will put a request in writing asking the seller’s to address them.



Step Five

Once all negotiations are finalized, the last step is securing financing. During this step, you will be working closely with your mortgage lender to provide them with everything they need to complete your loan. Your credit will be reviewed, and the home will be appraised to confirm it’s value. This process generally takes 30-60 days depending on the type of loan.


Step Six

Closing day has arrived! We will meet at the home one last time before finalizing the purchase to ensure all post-inspection repairs were completed as agreed upon. Assuming all financing conditions and title checks have also been completed properly, all parties will meet to sign the paperwork to complete your home purchase!
